Sasha Banks can’t hide her joy at losing SmackDown Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair in historic WrestleMania main event
Usually you can predict what a champion’s reaction will be like when they lose a title in the main event of a WrestleMania.
But not Sasha Banks.
The Boss and Bianca Belair made history when becoming the first women to compete in a Singles match in a WrestleMania main event on Saturday.
Belair beat Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at night one of WrestleMania 37 in front of 25,675 fans at Raymond James Stadium.
While Belair celebrated winning her first title in WWE, Banks was filmed smiling outside the ring on the floor.
Despite being a heel in the storyline, Banks just could not contain her joy for the EST of WWE.
It has been a monumental rise for Belair, who only made her main roster debut at WrestleMania 36 when she came to the aid of The Street Profits last year.
And winning the 2021 women’s Royal Rumble match secured her a title shot at WrestleMania 37 as she ended night one as a champion.
While the storyline surrounding the feud could be questioned, which included forming a tag team at one point, the match itself more than delivered.
